Milwaukee-area residents will celebrate the Fourth of July with fireworks,
local parades, and more, but hot weather and storms can interrupt festivities.
Be sure to check the news ahead of time and check the severe storm forecast to see if you may be affected.
Some areas, including Muskego , Waukesha , and Milwaukee, will host fireworks a day early on Wednesday,
and Milwaukee is expecting temperatures in the low 70s,
some wind, and higher-than-normal humidity for the 9 p.m. fireworks start time, but no rain or storms.
Weather during Milwaukee’s Summerfest
The weather in the Milwaukee area on July 4 is expected to be rain-free and windy before 2 p.m.,
but by 1 p.m., temperatures are expected to climb to 82 degrees with high humidity, perfect for the parade.
Milwaukee’s Summerfest, which runs from noon to midnight at Henry Meyer Festival Park,
will be sunny at the beginning of the festival, but the chance of precipitation will increase in the afternoon,
with a 30 percent chance of precipitation at 10 p.m.
Increased chance of precipitation between 9pm and 10pm
The festival’s highlight, the American Family Insurance Amphitheater stage, has a 25 percent chance of precipitation at 7 p.m.,
when Carly Rae Jepsen, AJR, and M.E.X.T. will perform. While the chance of precipitation is low,
there will be a higher chance of precipitation from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The chance of precipitation increases from 25 percent to 28 percent between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.,
when the fireworks and light show begins, and thunder is also expected, but the fireworks may not take place.
