Des Moines Arts Festival, 26 years in the making

Celebrating artistic talent, the Des Moines Arts Festival goes beyond that to serve as a vibrant community.
The annual festival, the largest in the state of Iowa, has drawn a total of 2.5 million visitors in its 26 years.
Nationwide has invested more than $700,000 in the Des Moines Arts Festival since 2008 and has been a presenting sponsor of the festival.

Free parking and waiting areas during the festival

Nationwide also provides free public parking for the duration of the festival
and a waiting room for the festival team to use before the festival begins.
The executive director of the Des Moines Arts Festival expressed gratitude to the
community and sponsors for their efforts in making the festival a success.

Commit to hosting an environmentally friendly festival

The Des Moines Arts Festival also built 16 waste stations and provided recyclable container options to reduce its carbon
footprint and ensure that the festival operates in an environmentally friendly manner.
During the event, more than 200 artists showcased their artwork at the festival and competed for juried awards,
with Mark Sudduth of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, taking home the top prize for his glass work.
