The festival runs for five days, but steamed corn is only sold on Saturday and Sunday,
and sweet corn is only sold while supplies last. The Corn Anteater Festival, which combines potatoes and corn,
is a large one-day festival with roast beef sandwiches, hot dogs, and more made with corn and potatoes.
Things to do at the Corn Anteater Festival
There’s live music, an obstacle course, basket raffles, and more,
and it’s all free to attend. Royal Corn, a $3 all-you-can-eat corn on the cob buffet,
is held throughout the city, along with a children’s parade. Most events and activities are completely free,
but some do require an entrance fee.
Darien Corn Festival schedule
Darien Corn Festival Held in Darien from September 6 to 8,
this festival kicks off with a spectacular fireworks display on the first day of the festival, followed by a parade through the city.
You can purchase a $25 wristband that gives you access to the carnival rides that run all three days of the festival,
and you can get free corn on the cob if you can be present on the second and a third day for the grand finale.
