Rain Days is sponsored by the BOLTONVILLE Fire Department and has been an annual event since 1918.
Rain Days was first held under the name Boltonville Fire Department Picnic, but in the
1960’s the name was changed to Rain Days after it rained consistently during the event.
Attendees of Rain Days can enjoy a wealth of music along with rides and watch the annual parade.
The rides are open rain or shine and there is a full schedule of activities planned for all three days of the event.
Join us for this event and help kick off the summer festival season.
Four arrested at John Beanie Festival
The Brookfield Police Department has announced that they are closing the middle section of the St.
John Beanie Festival earlier than scheduled and are doing so for the safety of festival attendees.
The Brookfield Police Department was already patrolling the festival grounds when the
altercation occurred and will continue to take steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
Fortunately, no major damage was done
All four individuals involved in the altercation were arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and resisting arrest.
Fortunately,
no firearms were used in this incident, and police will be speaking with St. John Vianney members to help keep people safe at next year’s event.
